Step by step guide to building your business

Step 1: Get Contracted (2 Weeks)

  • Get contracted with top-tier carriers
  • Cross-licensing in high-success states

  • Purchase E&O insurance (~$38/month)

Step 2: Sales Training (2 Weeks)

  • Enrollment in training portals
  • Daily live training sessions

The Final Screening

Licensing eligibility requirements

This is a highly regulated industry, and your ability to get licensed is non-negotiable. The disqualifiers below marked as 'absolute' or 'common' are deal-breakers—if any apply to you, we will not be able to help you. Please review them to confirm eligibility.

Bottom line:

  • If you have a felony involving dishonesty, breach of trust, or money → You cannot get licensed without a special federal waiver.
  • If you have serious financial or criminal history → Some carriers will contract you, but many will not.
  • If you're clean on criminal, tax, and major financial issues → You're good to go.

Absolute Disqualifiers

  • Not legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Not of minimum age (usually 18)
  • Currently incarcerated
  • Active license revocation for cause

Common Disqualifiers

  • Felony convictions for dishonesty, breach of trust, or fraud
  • Insurance fraud, embezzlement, theft, forgery
